Mens Birthday Presents

Men are not the most complicated of the two genders (in my opinion) but their preference may tend to amuse and sometimes confuse you especially if it keeps changing with the years.

The hardest part is getting to distinguish his likes and his dislikes.

Mostly, it’s not that difficult to tell. Sometimes men also like being showered with the occasional gift. Getting the best gift is no mean feat.

You may sometimes need to draw up a budget for men’s birthday presents. Before you do that, you need to come up with a list of his hobbies, preferences, age group, what he has and would like, especially if he is mysterious and keeps to himself. Is he single, married? Is he your relative, friend?

However, worry not, men have a thing in common and will always fall for any gift, whatever the season. I’m not suggesting that you can get him his own private jet. No! What you need to figure out is something that will send the right message to him, make him feel appreciated. Something he will hang on to for a long while. So, forget the edibles and fancy clothing and focus on everything else; gadgets, car accessories, tools, that kind of thing.

If he is your dad or husband, forget the socks and ties as men’s birthday presents. In fact, forget clothing unless it’s a watch or an accessory like cufflinks, shaver, or tie clip. If you should choose the watch, give it a personal touch like getting it engraved with something memorable. It does not have to be too expensive. What you need to do is stick to something he has probably wanted to get for himself but never got round to do it.

Like that new laptop bag he keeps talking about. Or better still, you get him something that can make him look and feel manlier, like designer sunglasses. He will wear them to the bathroom, just to show how much he likes them! There’s no difference between men and boys once they receive a gift. If they like it, the look on their faces is priceless.

When it comes to electronic gadgets, any men’s birthday presents will do. From a simple torch to the most sophisticated cordless hand drill that you can find, he will love it. Men love something they can use and if you got it for them, they will always have a smile on their faces whenever they hold on to it. But do not limit yourself to the kind of options there are. If he has a laptop or a computer, get him an accessory like a spare laptop charger or digital web camera. If he does not have a laptop, buy him a high end one, especially one that has speed written all over it. Picture of Mens Birthday Gifts.

Speaking of speed, car accessories can also be quite welcome men’s birthday presents. If you get him the tire rims he swears he will buy one day, he’ll forever love you for it. If you manage to get him a better car radio or sound accessory like speakers, disc changer or a remote controlled gadget, he is bound to spend all evening thanking you for it.

A garage voucher to have that terrible sound at the back of the car looked at is also a good gift, unless he’s picky on garages or has a trusted mechanic who he feels if he passed away or relocated to another country, he would sell the car! A toolkit for the car and a new jack would be great too, just don’t go buying a fishing rod that can fit into his boot if he’s not over fifty years of age. Then you may just spoil his day.

If he is an indoors person, get him a chessboard, something miniature that will ensure that there’s little space between you for maintaining the intimacy. If he’s your brother, get him a washing machine, or better yet, a dishwasher. He hates doing dishes and anything short of handing him a reliable house help is beat done the electronic way.

When you decide to buy birthday presents dads want something that makes them feel special. I said fishing rods are for your father when he turns fifty, and when you know he has a place he can go fishing. If he is a golfer, why not get him limited edition golf balls or clubs?

Better yet, get him something fancy like golf shorts, something that he’ll wear even when he is not going golfing. Old men are easy to woo with men’s birthday presents like a warm outdoor jacket, or comfortable shoes that he can walk in and never strain his feet; especially if he loves to walk in the park or loves to hunt. If he does love to hunt, please do not get him a gun. Try getting him nice camouflage attire and a jungle water bottle.

Or some binoculars, especially if he is into bird watching. The hunting gloves will come handy at this point and he might ask for a special color, so make sure you know his color preference. Books also are greatmen’s birthday presents especially if you know his taste, a good read is what he will need; he probably will need a spiritual book. If he is the outdoor type, a knife set is also good, makes him feel young again. A heart monitor would suffice if he normally has a heart problem, and remember to throw in a panic button; today’s technology is fusing these two.

Othermen’s birthday presentsthat you may want to get will include making his favorite meal, get him his favorite drink, especially if it is alcoholic, nothing too fancy, but one that he will glue his eyes on when he sees it, inmen birthday gift baskets. A trip to his favorite restaurant is not such a bad idea. So, spoil your man today.
